Passionate by the Art world, Ben Cuvelier is overflowing with creativity. After his art studies at the Beaux-Arts of Namur, Belgium, in 1995 he specialized in bande dessinée in Brussels, at the heart of the famous Institut Saint-Luc. Since 2007, as a multi-talented artist, ready for new experiences, he has been working with Franco Dragone. His role is not only to illustrate the Director’s visions, but also to create the sets, accessories, characters and video content that will animate the show. A responsibility on a management and artistic level that Ben accomplishes with passion next to Franco. Ben also enjoys exploring the editing world, and illustrates novels for a younger public, for example «Les Aventurêves» published in 2010, or «Et dans la forêt, j’ai vu», Vincent Engel’s novel published by Ker Editions in October 2015. It also illustrates several book covers for Ker Editions in 2016 and 2017. In 2011, in association with Pascal Jacob, he created a gallery of numeric illustrations and pencil sketches, retracing Circassian poetic desolation . The images, created both digitally, and with a traditional pencil, transport you into the day to day magic of the circus world. Since January 2012, every year, the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, presents Ben’s new drawings at the Cirque Phénix in Paris. Ben was subsequently asked by Alain M. Pacherie, founder and director of the Cirque Phénix in Paris, to create and illustrate the new scenery, video contents and visual media for shows like «Cirkafrika 2», «L’Empereur de Jade», «Mulan», «Cirkacuba», «Cirkafrika 3». Since 2016, as a freelance show concept designer, he has designed and illustrated numerous shows... In 2018, he founded his own company CreateWoW, specialized in concept show design. With 10 years of experience, it is now a reference in the world of entertainment and publishing.
